[SOLVED] Sample Answer:

Dear James,

I hope you are doing well as I write this. I want to let you know about an unpleasant experience I had with the necklace that I recently borrowed from you for my retirement party.

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or displeasure this would cause you, but it was completely accidental. During the party, someone bumped in me while I was having fun and dancing, causing my necklace to catch on their clothes. The fragile chain snapped when it was suddenly forced too hard. I accept complete responsibility for what happened.

I have given that necklace to a professional jeweller for repair as this necklace has sentimental significance and the damage is serious. They know how to handle delicate jewels and have the necessary gear and your necklace would be fixed very soon.

I recognize the value of trust in our friendship, and I sincerely apologize for any damage this episode may have caused to that trust. Please let me know if there is anything specific you would like me to do other than this.

Thank you for your understanding, and I appreciate your patience in this matter.

Warm regards,
Sammy
